DAY 1: Arusha
Welcome to Kilimanjaro Tanzania! Clear the customs and retrieve your baggage by yourself upon arrival, be greeted by our tour guide in the Arrival Hall who is holding a sign on which says your name or a group name; transferred by a private car/van to the Hotel for dinner and overnight at Arusha Planet Lodge, the rest of the day is your own time to relax.
Day 2 – 3: Ndutu Plains – Ngorongoro
Depart early in the morning after breakfast at Mt. Meru Hotel and set off for Ndutu, enjoy a total of two days in Ndutu plains, a part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area that shares the Southern Serengeti Ecosystem. Millions of wildebeest call this area a home as they give birth to their babies during a month of February to March. All the big cats, especially cheetahs and lions, follow the herds to enjoy a wide selection of prey. Witness the Cycle of Life, as some wildebeests are born, while others fall victim to their predators. During evening, check in at Ndutu Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
Check out Ndutu Safari Lodge with packed lunch and proceed to Serengeti National Park, with an option to visit Olduvai Gorge. It is within this steep sided ravine that Louis and Mary Leakey made some of the world’s most important archaeological discoveries in the 1950s. Here in a small museum you will be able to see evidence of our ancestors that have been dated back 2.5 million years.
This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and if you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah.We will have dinner and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge Serengeti
Day 5 – 6: Serengeti
You have the Mighty Serengeti National Park at your leisure for Two Days; you can choose to be as active as you feel. Activities include Traditional 4×4 game drives tracking the Big 5, visit the Moru Kopje, Retina Hippo pool, witness the Wildebeest Migration, and Bird watching. During the evening we will have our dinner and overnights at Seronera Wildlife Lodge Serengeti
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
You have Ngorongoro Crater as your last Adventure. Check out Mbugani Tented Camp after breakfast and proceed to Ngorongoro highland, game drive on the way from Central Serengeti and thereafter we will drive to Ngorongoro Crater which is the largest intact caldera in the world. And along the way if wish to visit, a Maasai community will welcomes us into their village on a special visit. Enjoy a rare opportunity to view traditional singing and dancing, witness an initiation ritual, and learn about this fascinating culture from the village chief and his wives. We will spend a night on the crater rim at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge.
Day 8: Crater tour
Arise early morning for breakfast and descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing activities. The Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered by many to be the Eighth Wonder of the World. It’s the largest un-flooded and unbroken caldera on Earth, formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself two to three million years ago. Now it’s a home to over 30,000 animals, including all members of The Big Five. You will enjoy a nearly full day game drive along with a picnic lunch with the hippos at the Hippo Pool before beginning your ascend and drive straight back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening flight back home.
